The Friends of the Wilson County Public Library is a public charity organization which promotes the use of the library. Members raise money for a variety of library-related programs and needs which are not met through traditional county government funding. For example, the Friends installed an excellent sound system in the large assembly room at the main library. This room is in constant use by the library for its programs and also serves as a meeting space for various civic and community groups.
We are grateful for our borrowing privileges at Hackney Library at Barton College, which are available to community patrons 16 and older in good standing in the Wilson County Public Library System. Obtain a membership form at either the Wilson County Public Library or Hackney Library at Barton College.

Join the Friends of the Wilson County Public Library for a special afternoon with author Rebecca McClanahan as she reads from her new memoir, Light Falls on Everything.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear from McClanahan, learn more about her latest work, and attend a book signing following the reading.
